Even with the recent rain we’ve been lucky enough to receive, water restrictions are enforced across the region by Gympie Regional Council. The restrictions are widespread with residents in every suburb required to limit their water usage.
The restrictions prompt residents to think consciously about their water use but won’t disturb the average resident’s day-to-day.
Residential activities with water restrictions include: watering lawns and gardens, filling and topping up pools, washing vehicles, cleaning driveways or paving.
Until advised otherwise by council, level one restrictions apply to Tin Can Bay, Cooloola Cove, Rainbow Beach, Imbil and Gympie. Stricter restrictions apply to Amamoor, Kandanga, Kilkivan and Goomeri which currently has level three restrictions.
